

Beloved Mom and Memaw Mary Ann Lovoy, age 86, died Friday, November 17th at Shelby Baptist Medical Center with her family by her side. Mary Ann was born April 4, 1931, to Frank and Rosaria (Antonio) Zito. Mary Ann worked as a store manager for Three Sisters, Mangles, Alands and Lerner and as a child caregiver for many years. She was known by her employees as the greatest boss and jovial. She was a devout member of the Catholic church. Her family lovingly describes her as being funny and feisty, spunky and sweet. In her prime she loved to “go boogie.” She was also known as accepting, forgiving, and loving to everyone. She loved to cook for her family and friends and cherished her big family. She laughed often, enjoyed life, and was always on the go. She is survived by her brother, Anthony Zito, and her children Frank (Cathy) Lovoy, Louis (Linda Jolley) Lovoy, Jan Lovoy (Randall)Burnett, David (Betty Johnson) Lovoy, Gerald (Rhonda) Lovoy, and grandchildren Louie (Lindsay) Lovoy, Christy (Daryl) Ingram, Brigitte (Brad) Letcher, Angel (Kit) Moore, Rachael (Joe) McNutt, Anthony (Katie) Lovoy, Nick (Ryan Turner) Lovoy, Brittany (Micah) Woodley, DJ Lovoy, Katelyn (Nolan Vinson) Burnett, Christopher Lovoy, and great-grandchildren Meradith Ingram, Michael Ingram, Meagan Ingram, Abbey Letcher, Madi Moore, Molli Moore, Kam Moore, Addison Letcher, Levi Lovoy Jaden McNutt, Ava Katherine Lovoy, Anna Grace Letcher, Jace McNutt, Luke Lovoy. She was predeceased by her father, Frank Zito; her mother, Rosaria Antonio, her brothers Tommy and Joe Zito and sisters Frances Spota and Lena Carruba, her son Phillip Lovoy, her daughter-in-law Debbie Lovoy and great grandchildren, Caroline Grace and Olivia Reese Woodley.
