Mary Carruba Stokes, age 86, died May 29, 2015. She was a member of Central Park Baptist Church, and a former resident of Ensley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Norma Carruba; her husband Fred Stokes; brothers Roy, Vincent, and Joe Carruba; and sisters Lena Carruba and Josephine Sicola. She is survived by daughter Clydene (Ronnie) Charles; son Norman (Linda) Stokes; grandchildren Tony Stokes, Allen (Debbie) Stokes, Lisa Stokes, Kevin (Caitlin) Charles, and Kelly (John) Johnstone; great-grandchildren Sunday, Gracie, Mason, Tide, and Fisher Stokes, Lydia Charles, and Ashton Johnstone; sisters Jannie Russo, Mamie Carruba, and Rosalie (Terry) Condo; brother-in-law Joe Sicola; and numerous other family members and friends. Visitation will be held Monday, June 1 at 10:00 am at Elmwood Chapel with graveside service to follow at 11:00 am at Elmwood Cemetery.
