Shane was born February 16, 1970 in Birmingham, Alabama to Dale and Nancy Strevel.
He was proceeded in death by his grandmother Florine Shoemaker, his grandparents, Howard and Annette Strevel.
He leaves behind to cherish in his memory his parents, Dale and Nancy Strevel of Minor, Alabama, his brothers, Howard Strevel of Charlotte, North Carolina and David “Chopper” Strevel (Sonia) of Daphne, Alabama, A nephew, Blake Strevel and 3 nieces, Laura Blankenship, Brittany Strevel and Brooklyn Strevel.
Shane graduated from Midfield High School then went on to continue his love for baseball and played at the University of Montevallo where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in English. Shane was a life long fan of the Florida State Seminoles. He was a member of Sylvan Springs Methodist Church where he remained faithful in watching services each week on line when he was no longer able to attend.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
