Norma Lee Shamy, 87, passed away peacefully at home on November 5, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband, Abraham "Abe" J. Shamy. She is survived by her son's, Larry Falkner, son in-law, Terry Butler, and Ladell S. Falkner; grandchildren, Tiffany Wood (Will) and Lauren Falkner (Ryan Connor); great-grandchildren, Andrew Murphy and Noah Wood; brother, Clayton Kirkland; and daughter-in-love, Lorraine Murphy (Joe).
Norma was a member of St. Elias Church and was always happy to help with the Lebanese food festival every year and was proud to serve on the Altar Ladies Society of St. Elias. She was a member of the Cedars of Lebanon. Norma graduated from Business College and worked for Liberty National for many years. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of style but most especially for her mean coconut cakes.
The family wishes to express their great gratitude to the nurses and staff of Affinity Hospice for the loving and and compassionate care for Norma at home.
The family will receive friends at St. Elias Church on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 10 am, a funeral mass will follow at 11 am.
