Olivia Jordan Cooper

Macon, GA- Olivia Jordan Cooper, age 90, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Laurel Baye Healthcare in Macon, Georgia. Olivia was born June 22, 1923 in Sweet Water, Alabama. Olivia graduated from Sweet Water High School in Marengo County, Alabama in 1942 and attended school at Alverson Business College in Birmingham, Alabama. She worked for 40 years, retiring in 1983 from Bell South, where she was an office supervisor.

livia was preceded in death by her parents, Columbus Luther and Carrie Masaline Jordan, her husband, Eugene P. Cooper, her sister Mary Riddle and her brother C.G. (Kit) Jordan. She is survived by her daughter Laraine Eugenia Potter (Greg) of Macon, Georgia, her grandchildren Isaiah Lee Wood and Kelsey Michelle Wood of Macon, Georgia, her sister Reba Smith of Dayton, Alabama and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Ridout’s Trussville Chapel in Birmingham, Alabama. The family will greet friends Monday, April 28 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Forest Crest Cemetery in Birmingham with the Rev. Robert Walker.
