Paul Anthony Monella, age 89, of Homewood, Alabama passed away on October 12, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Santo and Lillie Monella; two brothers, Vincent and Joseph; and three sisters, Josephine, Frances, and Antoinette Berry.
Paul's first job was helping on a Foremost Milk truck. The he went to work driving a wrecker. He drove a wrecker for a number of years. He had a story for every car he picked up. After retirement, Paul worked with his brother, Vincent in the Flea Market. You would be amazed at what they had for sale.
Paul leaves a son, Michael Jemison and sister, Ruth. A number of nephews and nieces will miss him greatly.
There will be a visitation at Johns Ridout's Elmwood Chapel on Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 10 am until 11 am. A celebration of Paul's life will follow at 11 am in the chapel. Reverend Jim Auchmuty will officiate the service. Paul will be laid to rest with his family at Elmwood Cemetery in block 10.
