Beloved Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather, born June 11, 1920; went to the Lord on June 27, 2017. Pre-deceased by his mother, Lillie Antonio; father, Frank N. Antonio; wife of 58 years, Sara F. (Paffos) Antonio; and Granddaughter, Alissa E. Antonio. Peter is survived by his brother, Joe F. Antonio; Daughter, Rosemary A. Banks (Tom); Son, Peter A. Antonio, Jr.; Daughter, Frances Ann Hall (Mike); six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Peter is a World War II Veteran who served from February 11, 1942 until November 17, 1945, including action in the Pacific with Battery “C” 1220 Field Artillery Battalion. Sgt. Antonio received the ATO Medal, AFTO Medal, and Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, and World War II Victory Medal. Peter loved his family dearly, he also had words of wisdom and taught all of us the meaning of life. He will be greatly missed. Fly Daddy Fly! A Celebration of his Life service will be held Saturday, July 1, 2017 at St. Stephens the Martyr Catholic Church with Mass starting at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens in Bessemer.
