Robert J. Evans, 90, passed away on February 24, 2025. He was born on May 28, 1934 in Jasper, Alabama. He is survived by his son Robert “Rob” Evans and family friend, Shellie Perkins (Scott) and their daughter, Madalyn. Robert served in the US Army and was proud to have served in the 82nd Airborne. He loved antique muscle cars, especially his 1964 Impala SuperSport. He loved watching NASCAR, and Alabama football games.
Robert had a witty sense of humor and always loved to have a good time. He will be greatly missed.
A visitation will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025 from 1pm until 2pm at Johns Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel; followed by a service in the chapel. He will be laid to rest with his family at Elmwood Cemetery.
