Robert Morgan

Robert ”Bob” Morgan of Irondale, AL passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at the age of 80. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Mr. Morgan served his country proudly and was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he fought in the Korean Conflict. He also was retired from Hayes Aircraft (PEMCO) after many years of service as a sheet metal specialist. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Morgan and a son, Robert Morgan, Jr. Mr. Morgan is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Joann Ashley Morgan; a brother, Danny Ashley and his wife, Sheila Ashley; grandchildren, Ashley Lightsey and her husband, James Lightsey, Ryan Morgan, and Michael Morgan; one great grandchild, Bentley Lightsey; nephew, Brian Ashley and his wife, Holly Ashley; a niece, Amy Peake and her husband, Ben Peake; and family friends, Robert and Sandy Fondren.

Chapel services will be held on Friday, July 17th at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel at 11 am with visitation beginning at 10 am. Interment will follow in Forest Crest Cemetery in Irondale, AL.
