Robert James Praytor Sr.

Praytor, Robert J. Sr., age 67 of Trussville, AL went home to be with the Lord on May 2, 2012. He owned and operated P & S Construction, he was a member of Clay First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was a singer with Amazing Grace, a gospel group that he founded and a Ordained Minister. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Praytor Roberson; parents, Willie and Zora Bell Praytor; brothers, Richard Lee Praytor and Shelton Praytor; sisters, Mary Sue Williams and Peggy Praytor; son-in-law, Chris Dendy; father-in-law, Clint Brown. Robert is survived by his wife of 50 years, Doris Brown Praytor; son, James (Jennifer) Praytor; daughters, Darlene (Mike) Coggins and Becky (Doug) Bowers; mother-in-law, Virginia Brown; brothers, Phillip (Ruth) Praytor and Alan Praytor; sisters, Phyllis (Terry) Bell, Shirley (Bill) Massey, Ann Weldon (Ray) and Pat Herber; sister-in-laws, Marilyn Praytor, Linda (Lucky) Leslie and Judy (Mike) Price; grandchildren, Cherish Dendy-Lanz (Dawn), Joey Smith, Abby Grace Praytor and Wyatt Praytor and Jennifer Roberson; great grandchildren, Jonathon Roberson, Andrea and Bethaney Smith, Jay Lanz, Abbie Lanz and Mikey Lanz, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, May 6, 2012 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel. Funeral service will be Monday, May 7, 2012 at 2 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel, officiated by Revs. Rick Hinkle and Kent McClendon Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
