SHELTON, KATHLEEN “KAT”, age 80, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Curtis Shelton; daughters, Debbie Mosley (Steve) and Diane Baker (Steve); sister, Freda Sutherland (Jerry); brother, Frederick Finley (Gail); grandchildren, Lauren Bush (Eric), Steve Baker (Courtney), Kendall Ansley (Tim), Claire Mosley and Kyle Mosley; and great-grandchildren, Zoey and Atlas Bush and Blake, Jackson and Baker Ansley. Kat spent a wonderful lifetime with her childhood sweetheart, Curt and was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a former member of McElroy Memorial United Methodist Church and current member of Avondale United Methodist Church. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 10-11 AM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with her service beginning at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Forest Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lauren Bush’s Adoption Fund to bring Kathleen’s great-grandson home from Korea at 3146 Renfro Road Vestavia Hills, AL 35216.
