Ruth J. Morrissette, 89, passed away Friday, May 22, 2015 at her home in Leicester, NC. Ruth was born in Taylorsville, MS and lived most of her adult life in Birmingham, Alabama. Ruth had a green thumb with a special love for flowers. She was an avid reader and enjoyed many forms of needlework. Ruth was the daughter of the late Ira and Minnie Jones. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert L Morrissette and her brother, James Jones. Survivors include: daughter, Linda Forkey (Richard) of Leicester, NC; son, Paul Morrissette (Nita) of Birmingham; sisters, Addie Mae Alexander and Millie Alford Alexander of Jackson, MS; grandchildren, Matthew Morrissette, Lindsey Morrissette Dachelet (Darren) and Wes Morrissette; and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. A service was held for Ruth on June 1 in Marshall, NC. The family will receive friends and family at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 6, 2015 with service to immediately follow at 11:00 at Ridout’s Elmwood
