Shane Thomas Hastings

HASTINGS, SHANE THOMAS, age 31 of Trussville, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, Louie Griffey. He is survived by his fiancé, Rebecca “Becky” Hopson; mother, Cyndi Hastings; brother, Dustin Hastings (Lauren); aunts and uncles, Howard Stormes (Laura), Steven Posth (Susan), Deborah Allen (Joey), Linda Posth, Robert Hastings (Jerrie) and Richard Hastings; cousins, Wanda Boots, Tamara Halseth, Howard Stormes, Jr., Steven Posth, Karri Ryder, Jeffrey Posth, Emma Posth, John Posth, Tory Martinez, Angie Fell, Armondo Martinez, Cynthia Vaughn, Robert Rountree, Aubrey Kay Rountree, Erin Hastings and Crystal Eubanks; bonus family, Mike and Sue Hopson, and Glenn Hopson; and many extended family and friends. Shane was very involved in many, many hobbies. Some of his favorites were cooking, drawing, wood working, playing guitar, and disassembling anything to learn exactly how it worked. His love for knowledge come only second to the love of his family. His presence would captivate the room with his witty sense of humor and vast information on most every topic. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but the memories will be cherished and held very close to our hearts. His family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 5-7 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with his service beginning at 7 PM.
