HUGHES, SHIRLEY F., age 80 of Birmingham, she went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 28, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Lona Faile. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ed Hughes; sons, Eddie Hughes (Vivian), Danny Hughes (Kathy) and Mark Hughes (Debbie); brother, David Faile; sister, Rosemary Ledlow; 4 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Shirley was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Center Point, as well as the Red Hat Society and Trussville Literary Club. She was an award winning quilt maker. Shirley enjoyed decorating her home and the church. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 10-11 AM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. There will be a graveside service at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Morris beginning at 12.
