He is survived by his loving wife Cindy, son Matthew and daughter Meigan Porter.
Steve was a graduate of The University of Montevallo, and was a CPA and CMA. He was the Controller at Warren Manufacturing Co. for 28 years. Steve had a tremendous love for Southern Gospel music and was an accomplished pianist that touched many lives through his musical ministry. He began his musical career with the Royal Masters Quartet at the age of 21. Over the years he played with various gospel groups including Steel City Quartet and served as pianist for numerous churches, most recently Spring Valley Baptist Church in Springville.
Funeral service will be Tuesday July 9, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Ridout's Trussville Chapel with interment to follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in Pea Ridge, Alabama. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening July 8, 2013 from 5 until 7 P.M.
