Dr. Stuart Kenneth Bean of Hoover, AL passed away Friday, September 18, 2020, at the age of 86. He is survived by his brother Bill Bean, his children, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was a Captain in the United States Army and a physician for over 50 years. He enjoyed his years working with the Southern Medical Group, and Birmingham Regional Emergency Management Services. He was an Eagle Scout and helped with Friends of Scouting. He served for many years in the Civitan Club of Birmingham.
He loved his family, the great outdoors, being on the lake fishing, playing golf and watching the New York Yankees, along with smoking a pipe or cigar.
He was a man of great strength, character and integrity, and was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
Services will be held at Elmwood Cemetery on Wednesday, September 23. The Visitation is from 1-2 pm and the Service starts at 2 pm.
