Sue M. Auchmuty of Hoover died Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at the age of 84. True to her devout Christian upbringing, she was full partner in ministry in the churches where her husband served as pastor which include Shades Crest, Hoover and First Baptist of Roebuck Plaza. Survivors in her immediate family are: husband, James A. (Jim) Auchmuty; daughters: Jenni Thomas (Robin) and Robyn Cargo (Sam); and son Jimbo Auchmuty (Leah). She was affectionately known as Tachie to her grandchildren: Tyler Roberts (Lucy), Taylor Roberts (Haley, fiancé), Tindall Alexander (Jason), Tanna Tillman (Bryant), Katie Clark (Jake), Sambo Cargo, Anna Marie and Amelia Auchmuty and great granddaughter, Audrey Ann Alexander. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Shades Crest Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the church.
