I remember Susan sitting at her desk at Richs/Macys in the rug dept. She was always friendly, ready, and willing to help you.  She was truly  special lady! My deepest sympathy to all Susan's family. Judy Johnston

I will always remember Mrs. Hemphill as a sweet person who loved her children and constantly sacrificed for them. She did whatever it took for them to have a nice life. I will keep her and the whole family in my prayers.

Mrs. Hemphill was kind and always interested in others. Back when I was in my teens and twenties, I always loved stopping by and talking with her at Rich's. As she spoke of her children it was obvious that they were the light of her life. Mrs. Hemphill will always be remembered as a gracious women who reflected the gentleness of Christ.

I will truly miss Susan. When we went on an outing here at Greenbriar we had a lot of fun. I loved it when we would laugh and 'cut-up'. She will truly be missed her at Greenbriar.She was a very gracious and loving person. May she now rest in peace.

She was the kindest person I've ever had the privilege to work with side by side.  Her gentle voice and her warm smiling eyes showed how much she loved her life and the people who were lucky to be a part of it.  Offering prayers for her family and friends.  She will be greatly missed.

May God comfort and bless you all as you both grieve her departure and yet celebrate the beautiful person she was, full of  gracefulness, perseverence, meekness,  gentility and service to those in her life.

I will always remember Susan as a beautiful, soft-spoken lady with lots of courage. I remember going to see her dance in Swan Lake and I was awe-struck! She was so beautiful! The road her life took was not an easy one, but I know that she loved her children and grandchildren with her whole heart. My condolences to all of the Family.
