I am so sorry to learn of Tommie's death. He was a good man and a good neighbor. I will never sit on my porch and look at the mail box without thinking of him. He always had a smile and a kind word. He made you feel better with just a hello. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I will miss you very much. You were always so very good to me. I'll always remember the first time I met you. I think I was 14. And since I already had a huge crush on your son(Who I ended up marrying) I was really nervous but as soon as I sat down and started talking with you, you made me feel so comfortable. And have always made me feel that way. You were always there for Keith and I. And I'll never forget it. I love you and will miss you. R.I.P.

I have many memories of my Father ,one in particular comes to mind. Many years ago at my maternal grandmothers funeral,he and I sat together as others gathered flowers from her grave as keepsakes, and others continued to comfort each other after the service had long been over. He told me that he didn't want anyone lingering over him or his gravesite . He could see that people were extending their grief and not beginning the healing process. You see, Dad was two things if he was anything,practical and thoughtful. Through the eyes of a child he just seemed mean ,and preferred to be at work rather than with his family, but through the eyes of an adult parent ,he seems tough and unwavering in his determination to do right for his family, sacrificing whatever he had to ,to make sure his kids had a roof over their head ,clothes on their backs and food to eat. He gave me that and so much more,if you ever hear me say Sir or Ma'am ,you hear him, if you ever see me open a door for my wife or daughter,you see him and if you ever hear of me doing whatever it takes for my family,well, you hear of him. Thank you Dad ,for everything you taught me,most of all,how to love my family. I do and always will love you

Tommy, as cousins 19 years apart we didn't play together as kids. However, what I do remember is the kind, sweet and gentle spirit you always had.  The love for your family and the way you treated them and everyone else around you.  You were always the one who visited, called and checked on those that needed a helping hand, or a kind word to lift their spirits.  You will be truly missed by those that knew you and will be thought of everyday for your kind heart. Rest in Peace and I know the gates of heaven opened for you. Matthew 25:23

We are so sorry for the loss of a good neighbor he will be missed in the community,  He was a good man and will be missed by many.  So very sorry
