Virginia Staples Williams age 99 of Birmingham, AL passed away August 2, 2012. She was born in San Antonio, Texas but lived all of her adult life in Birmingham, AL. She was the second child of four born to John Hoyt Staples and Sophia Huber Staples. She was a floral designer and owner of The Village Florist in Mt. Brook Village. Ms. Williams was preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly W. Walton. Left to cherish her memory: her two daughters, Barbara W. Wise, Augusta, GA and Mary W. Phillips (Steve), Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Dan Walton, San Antonio, TX, Phillip Walton, Augusta, GA; five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A private graveside service for the family was held at Elmwood Cemetery with Rev. Jan Walker of Atlanta, GA officiated.
