

Alvin William Schulz, 93, of Bloomington, formerly of Spencer, passed away on Thursday, March 24 at the Golden Living Center in Bloomington. Born October 18, 1917 in Vigo County, he was the son of Oscar and Minnie Belle (Lawrence) Schulz. He was a retired Iron Worker and was of the Pentecostal faith.
He is survived by his two sons and three daughters-in-law, Richard and Sandy Schulz, of Solsberry, Danny and Kathy Schulz, of Spencer and Donna Schulz, of Bloomington; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Robert Hancock, of Bloomington; one sister, Nellie Pauline Arnold of Bloomington, seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean (Woods) Schulz, his parents; one son, Stephen Schulz; six brothers, Roy Schulz, Raymond Schulz, Howard Schulz, Earl Schulz, Virgil Schulz, and Rinny Schulz.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Day Funeral Home Chapel in Bloomington with Rev. Bruce Kelly officiating. Entombment will follow in the Valhalla Mausoleum. Friends may visit the family on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
