

Barbara Jean Voyles of Bloomington, passed away at the age of 86 in Golden Living center on May 29, 2015. She was born in Indianapolis but raised in Bloomington to the late Edward R. and Lula(Mason)Smith on April 7, 1929. Barbara married Cecil Voyles on June 15, 1947. He preceded her in death in December of 1984. Barbara was a cook for Clear Creek Elementary School for many years. She was an excellent cook for her family, known for her yeast rolls and apple butter that was her specialty. She was also a past member of Moose Lodge #1081. Barbara is survived by four sons; Robert(Vicki)Voyles, Ronald(Cindy)Voyles, Richard Voyles and Bradley(Julie)Voyles, nine grandchildren; Robert K.(Brenda)Voyles, Staci R. Voyles, Troy D. Voyles, Stephanie(Health)Hardin, Jennifer(Marcus)Meide, Jessica(Jose)Cuetos, Laura Raber, Natalie(Joel)Grannon and Amanda Voyles.
She was preceded in death by her grandson Clinton S. Voyles, 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 1, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. in Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 E. Third St., Bloomington, IN 47401. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 1 p.m. also in the funeral home with Pastor Mike Hendricks officiating. Burial in Clear Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 9135 N. Meredian St., STE. B-4, Indianapolis, IN 46209-7109 in memory of Barabara.
