Clara Joyce (Harris) Dittemore

Clara Joyce (Harris) Dittemore, 88, of Bloomington, IN passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. She was born July 16, 1936, in Bloomington, IN the daughter of the late Roy and Clara Bowman Harris.

Clara was a member of the Family Life Church. She enjoyed puzzles, gardening, cooking, sitting on the porch and being outside, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.

Clara is survived by her daughter, Vanessa Ratts and her husband Jerry; her brother, Paul Harris and his wife Janice; her sister, Connie Taylor and her husband Jim; two grandchildren, Wes and April; eight great-grandchildren, Brianne, Alyssa, Hailey, Kayla, Sydney, Hayden, Brayden, and JR; and many other beloved family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Dittemore; her daughter, Tamara Harlan; her grandson, JR Harlan; and two brothers, Ronnie Harris and Leroy Harris.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday February 22, 2025, at Family Life Church, 8449 N. Fox Hollow Road, officiated by Pastor Tracy Noel. Interment will follow at Hacker Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m.
