Frederick Dennis “Fred” Moffatt, Sr. passed away Friday afternoon (01/24/20) at the I.U. Health; Bloomington Hospice House. Born November 15, 1950 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Fred and Lilly ( ) Moffatt. After high school, he served in the U.S. Army. He later worked for the Indianapolis Parks and Recreation Dept. before becoming disabled. Fred was an I.U. Basketball fan.
Fred is survived by his three sons; Patrick (wife-Danielle) Moffatt, William Moffatt and Frederick “Dennis” Moffatt, Jr., all of Bloomington, one brother, Roy Moffatt, of Wisconsin and six grandchildren, Jayden, Patrick, Rhys, Ava, Eli and Evelyn Moffatt.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Norma (Monday) Moffatt.
There will be a private family gathering at the home of Dennis Moffatt at a later date.
The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the American Cancer Society.
