

Jack D. Cassidy, age 91, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at I.U. Health Hospice House. He was born April 25, 1930 in Bedford, IN the son of the late Elza and Bernice Cassidy.
Jack graduated from University High School in Bloomington, IN in 1949. He entered the United States Air Force in 1950, serving during the Korean War. He entered college at Western State Colorado University and graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in 1961 in Tacoma, Washington.
Jack worked for Boeing Aircraft Company, as a buyer of cockpit instruments. For several years, he was a representative for Tesco Electronics based in Palo Alto, California. Jack also was a technical representative for Arnold Engineering, covering eight western states and western Canada. Jack owned an almond farm in California. During this time, he loved to hunt big game and fish. He also acquired his pilot’s license and flew back to Bloomington several times to visit family. He also built several homes in the states of Washington and in Bloomington, IN. He returned to Bloomington, IN after thirty years. He worked at Black Lumber as a retirement job, working with contractors. Jack was very friendly and enjoyed joking around and making people laugh. He enjoyed dogs and children. During his life, he loved singing and was a member of several barbershop quartets. Friends enjoyed his telling about his interesting life adventures and his playing the organ and harmonic. After retirement, Jack took great pleasure in traveling with his wife.
Jack is survived by his wife Karen; two sisters, Carol Fender and Lorraine Cassidy both of Bloomington, IN;
and two brothers, Jim and John Cassidy both of Bloomington, IN
