Jeffrey Paul “Jeff” Griffith, age 50, of Bloomington, went home to be with our Great and Mighty God, Saturday, June 11th, 2011. He was a man that loved unconditionally and had a sense of humor that will be remembered in the hearts of many forever. He was a man full of unrivaled energy that spoke often about his love for the Lord, preparing for his entrance into heaven one day.
Our hearts are broken because of the husband, father, son and brother that left us too soon. Our sweet, precious Jeff, with a heart of gold who gave more than he received. Yet our hearts rejoice because Jeff has now reached his goal and ultimate purpose in life. As Jeff often said, “life is too short and you take nothing with you.”
Jeff was well-known for his amazing talents as a drummer and musician, a professional motocross rider and former State champion, and a unique gift for remodeling and interior design.
Born August 25, 1960 in Bloomington, he was the son of Paul Robert and Evelyn (McCoy) Griffith. He is survived by his wife, Tina (Richardson) Griffith, of Bloomington; three children, Ashlee, 28, Jordan, 14, and Christian, 11; his mother, Evelyn; and his siblings, Rhonda, Gina, and Robert; his baby granddaughter, Madeline. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father and baby daughter, Temple.
The funeral service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Thursday at Day Funeral Home Chapel with Missionary Jaya Hernandez officiating. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 2:00 P.M. until service time.
