

Julie Renee Chasteen, age 52, of Bloomington, died Wednesday afternoon at I.U. Health; University Hospital in Indianapolis. Julie was born April 30, 1961 in Bloomington, the daughter of Alva Bohall, Sr. and Phyllis (New) Bohall. She was a 1980 graduate of Bloomington High School North and lived all her life in the Bloomington area. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Julie is survived by her husband, Jim Chasteen, of Bloomington; three sons, Nathan (Christa) Tompkins, of Nashville, Indiana and Robbie Cunningham and Steven Chasteen, both of Bloomington; one daughter, Amber Tompkins, of Bloomington; three sisters, Susan (Jim) Martin, of Bloomington, Lisa (Doug) West, of Bloomington and Jenny (Josh) Martin, of Chaumont, New York; one brother, A.J. Bohall of Bloomington and two grandchildren, Averi Tompkins and James Tompkins. She was aunt to several nieces and nephews as well. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Day Funeral Home in Bloomington with burial to follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
