Genevieve was born to Edward Alexander White and Lauretta (Fredette) White on September
3, 1947 in Warwick, New York. She spent her childhood in East Lansing, Michigan and Terre
Haute, Indiana. She earned a Master’s degree in English Literature from Indiana University.
Genevieve had a fulfilling vocation as an educator. Over the course of her career she taught all
ages from preschoolers through undergraduate students. She most enjoyed teaching
preschool at the Bloomington Montessori School. Genevieve had a special gift with young
children and was a beloved teacher.

meant the most to her in her lifetime was being a mother and a grandmother. She is
remembered by her family and friends as a kind, gentle, thoughtful and elegant lady.
