Obituary of Linda Susan Michael
Linda Susan Michael, 65, was born in New Orleans, LA on November 15, 1955 to Hilton and Ruth Michael. Linda attended college at Ivy Tech and enjoyed work in the retail industry. She spent her final years as a homemaker caring for her children and grandchildren. Linda joined her father, Hilton Michael; eldest sister, Judy Ann Michael; two brothers, Robert Michael and Philip Michael; and best friend, Michelle Day in heaven on Monday, March 22, 2021. Also surviving are her mother Ruth Michael of Bloomington; three daughters, Tracie Bledsoe of Bloomington, Heather Cordero-Munoz of Lafayette, and Marissa Michael of Bloomington; two son-in-laws, Anthony Bledsoe and Frankie Cordero-Munoz; fourteen grandchildren, Amira Greer, Salis Greer, Myla Bledsoe, Anthony Bledsoe Jr., Mcayla Bledsoe, Cierra Bledsoe, Angel Pineda, Marcos Pineda, Malia Pineda, Adrianna Nicacio, Abby Estrada, Adan Cordero-Munoz, Emily Cordero-Munoz, and Ares Cordero-Munoz; two sisters, Nancy Vaughn of Indianapolis and Patricia North of Bloomington; one brother, Clarence Michael of Salsbury, NC; her favorite niece, Ina Sciscoe of Dumfries, VA; and other various nieces, nephews, and several cousins. Linda loved food tasting, music, Law & Order, supporting the local Goodwill, and a good laugh. She was a talented artist who wrote meaningful poetry and made beautiful art. All who knew her, knew her love and obsession with Coca-Cola. She was an avid collector of Coke memorabilia. When you would see her, she would have a Coke and a Marlboro. But these are not the only qualities that made her so special. As a single mother, her greatest joy and accomplishments were her children. She always sacrificed her needs for the good of her family. Linda will be remembered as a selfless, altruistic mother who always did her best to care for her children and those she loved, even when times were tough. She would do whatever she could to help others. She had a quiet strength we will never forget. A small private gathering celebrating her life will be held soon at the Bledsoe family home. There will be no memorial service. The family requests any contributions to be given to the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana (https://kidneyindiana.org/donate/).
