Margaret Alice McKinney, 80, of Bloomington passed away Friday, September 24, 2021 in her home. She was born October 26, 1940 in Bronx, New York to George Holmes and Margaret Crimmins Holmes. She was retired from Rainbow Bakery.
Survivors include two sons, Mark (Amy) McKinney of El Paso, TX and Paul (Tahnya) McKinney of Bloomington; four grandchildren, Mike McKinney, Mark McKinney, Jr., Melisa McKinney and Wyatt (Ayriana) McKinney; two great granddaughters, Alex and Bailey; a brother, George (Cheryl) Holmes; a sister, Kathy (Butch) Eagle; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy “Papa” McKinney; a son, Matthew McKinney; two brothers, John and Paul Holmes; and a grandson, David McKinney.
Margaret was of the Christian Faith. She enjoyed collecting antiques but mostly she enjoyed being with her family and especially Alex who was the light of her life.
Private Family Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home.
