Mary Jane Head

Mary Jane was an educator, a real estate broker, and an accountant at various times throughout her career. She was also involved in public affairs, serving on various community boards.

She leaves behind her daughter Mary Scott Simpson and her husband Scott Ambers of Chicago, son Bill and his wife Julie Head of Bloomington, her grandchildren Betsy, Billy, Katie, and Joseph Head (son of John and Betty Jo Head). She also leaves behind her sister Harriett and her husband Joseph Gigliotti of Indianapolis.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Head (1993), her son John E. Head (2001), and her brother and 2 sisters.

Friends may call at the Day Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 – 4 PM. Burial will take place at Valhalla Memory Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bloomington Hospital Hospice in memory of Mary Jane Head.
