Just remembering all the good times on Kinser Pike, BHSN and at the Pizza Hut. You had to be there to recover the feeling, so I guess this is more for Larry and family --- sorry to others, but you know how caring. loving and outgoing she was --- always fun!

Deepest sympathy to you, Larry, and to your family. I am so sad to learn of Maryanne's passing. Knowing her was a blessing. I have met few people who embodied such joy in life, and felt such a depth of compassion for everyone she met. In fact, it was one of those people who, this evening, brought her to mind. It was a  notice of an upcoming concert by Joshua Bell that prompted me to try to locate her... and doing so led me to this sad news. I remembered how she went to bat for him, when he was just a young boy.
Her friendship had such a profound impact on my life... I am thinking of when we first met, at IU.  Her wisdom, and her heart,  saved my butt more than once. Your home became a sanctuary for me over those years, that small upstairs apartment on a country road. 
I am recalling now the time that she drove back to NYC with me, on a school holiday, when she visited my home in NYC.  A few years ago we were sharing memories of that time. Maryanne recalled our walking to the 1964 World's Fair from my family home, and eating Belgian waffles. I recalled that my dad, someone not easily taken with people, thought that Maryanne  was fabulous. I remembered how impressed he was, that his daughter would have such an admirable friend! 
She was a warrior when it came to protecting her beloveds, never hesitating to do everything she could, offering all of herself. I have no doubt that her love, her infectious laugh and joy, will continue to spread far into the future. Her spirit is surely carried in the hearts of all those whose paths were lucky to cross hers, whether family, friends, colleagues, students.  I am sad to have not been in touch these past couple of years.  May you, Larry, be surrounded by love. 

To the Olsen and Coller families, please accept our sympathy and prayers that you will find comfort and peace moving forward. Just seeing Mary Anne's beautiful face brought a smile to my face and such a happy memory of Christmas 1982 when you invited our whole family (8 people) to stay in your home while spending days at Disney World and Epcot Center. Because of your generosity we were able to have the best (and only) family vacation! But it wasn't just the theme park, it was the laughter and fun we had just being together again after all the years that you coached football with Wayne --- we just have so many memories, that it is difficult to be sad when Mary Anne always brought so much happiness.
Coach Wayne passed in January. I am sure that he and Mary Anne have reunited as friends in Heaven.

Our heartfelt condolences to you Larry.  MaryAnne was a good friend to us. We really appreciated how both of you help us out, when we bought your condo in willowpointe when we didnt even know you yet.  Since then all the times we got together especially playing euchre, were always good times. 
 We pray for strength and comfort for you Larry, in the days and weeks to come. We will truly miss MaryAnne.
