

Pauline Perkins, age 89, of Bristol, Indiana, formerly of Bloomington, Indiana, died on Sunday afternoon at the Elkhart Hospice House in Elkhart. Born February 28, 1926 in Lexington, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Tom and Pearl (Lear) Gregory. She retired from Indiana University; Bloomington campus where she worked in food services for 27 ½ years.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Warren Hurt, of Bristol, Indiana; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Donald “Sonny” Gregory, of Lexington, Kentucky and Bobby and Evelyn Gregory, of Georgetown, Kentucky; one sister, Ann Nutter, of Lexington, Kentucky and two grandchildren, Morgan Hurt and Alexa Hurt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Herman Perkins, one infant son at birth, one sister, Frances Doty and four brothers, Earl Gregory, Bill Gregory, Jesse Gregory and Gene Gregory.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home; 4150 E. Third St; Bloomington. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the Elkhart Hospice House c/o the funeral home.
