

Bob was retired from the United States Army. Having served during the Korea and Vietnam Wars. While stationed in Germany he met the love of his life Marianne, and married her on April 16, 1955. He brought over his new family to the United States on the S.S. America. He later on did two tours in Vietnam and was awarded two bronze stars. In his later years, he worked at Sears and Roebuck. He enjoyed travelling in Europe, genealogy, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.
Bob is survived by his two sons, Edward R. Dye and his wife Debra of Bloomington, IN and Thomas J. Dye and his wife Lauretta of Cape Coral, FL; five grandchildren, Robert Dye, Stephanie Dye, Nicole Dye, Sarah Dye, and Samantha Dye; and one great grandchild who is due in February; a sister, Nina Larsen of Tampa, FL; and a brother, Jack Dye of Tampa, FL.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marianne Irma Dye.
Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens where military honors will be held. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 E. Third Street.
