Rodney George Stalcup

Rodney George Stalcup, age 79, of Bloomfield, Indiana, passed away Saturday morning, August 17, 2024 at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospice House. Born March 4, 1945 in Bloomington, he was the son of Charles E. and Mary (Layton) Stalcup. Rodney worked as a supervisor for I.U. Building Services. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Rodney is survived by his loving wife, Sarah (Allen) Stalcup, of Bloomfield; five children, Alicia Wilhite, of Bloomfield, Christina (Steve) Feaster, of Bloomington, Anthony Allen, of Bloomfield, Jake (Shannon) Collier, of Hobbieville and Pam (Melanie Beyers) Collier, of Ellettsville, one sister, Betty Larmier, of Bloomington, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jimmy Stalcup and one sister, Lois Bault.

There will be a graveside funeral service on Thursday at 12 noon at Valhalla Memory Gardens with Pastor Donnie Bault officiating. Interment will follow. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home; 4150 E. Third St.
