Ronald Gene Clapp left this earthly home on August 8, 2018. He was born October 14, 1940 in a farmhouse in Goshen County, Wyoming to Harold L. and Uva D. (Terrell) Clapp. His birth was attended by a mid-wife. He had an older brother, Larry, and a younger sister, Sandi, with whom he had a very close relationship. He grew up on various farms in rural Goshen County. After high school he went to the big city of Denver, Colorado to attend Park Business School. While there, he met Rosemary Johnson. They married and had two children, Regina and Rodney. They divorced, but Ronald was always a part of his children’s lives. Family was always very important to him and he always tried to maintain contact with his very large extended family going to as many reunions as possible. In his early life, Ron sampled various careers but found his niche with Frito Lay. He worked hard for the company for 20+ years before retiring. He was honored to receive salesman of the year. After living in Wyoming for more than 45 years, Ron began a new adventure and moved to Indiana. He met his wife, Nancy Haynes and they have enjoyed more than 28 years together. He enjoyed his retirement going to auctions, raising chickens, gardening and woodworking. A great joy in his life was spending time with his great grandson, Dalton.
