Shirley M. Hatton, age 78, of Bloomington passed away Tuesday (07/28/2020) at her residence. Born April 10, 1942 in Paintsville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Opal Clay. Shirley retired from R.C.A. where she was a fork truck driver. She loved singing, spending time with her family and friends and especially loved her two dogs, Bubby and Sissy.
Shirley is survived by her three sons; Stanley Curtis (Carla) Moffatt, of Bedford, Timothy Ray Moffatt, of Bloomington and Ronnie Joe (Ruth) Moffatt, of Columbus, one daughter, Kelly Renee (Glen) Weaver, of Bedford; two step-daughters, Lisa McKamey, of Greene County and Lana Burks, of Bloomington, her brother, Robert (Pam) Ward, of Paoli, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and many other beloved family members.
Shirley was preceded in death by her mother, husband, Larry James Hatton in 2003, one grandson, Brian James Fulford and her sister, Mary Eads.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 E. Third St. with Pastor Bob Radcliff officiating. Burial will follow in Carmichael Cemetery in Eastern Greene County. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Due to Covid19 restrictions all attending the visitation or service will be required to wear face masks.
