Daniel Marcus Christman-Hancuff, known to everyone as “Marcus,” was born in Boise Idaho on January 26, 1988. Marcus died tragically on February 21, 2025, when his truck left the roadway in icy fog. Marcus was cherished as a father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many.
As a young boy Marcus moved with his family to Washington State. Growing up north of Seattle, Marcus attended Bothell High School and as a child and adult, he was known as a “jack of all trades,” curious about everything, dismantling and examining anything from lawn mowers to clocks. Marcus was most recently working as an apprentice electrician.
Forever embracing his life in the Pacific Northwest, Marcus loved being outdoors. He loved travel, to hike up a mountain, sleep on the beach, fish, crab, celebrate a good bonfire or wild musical concert, and delve into ANYTHING to do with cars or tools! He was ever ready to help anyone at the drop of a hat, and he would give you the shirt off his back. His quirky sense of humor and delight in the ridiculous and extreme was epic. His generosity and kindness also touched the lives of many people.
He is survived by his son, and the light of his life, Seamus Christman-Hancuff; as well as his mother, Lenora Hancuff; his father, Daniel V. Christman, his stepmother Tish Christman, his sister, Kelsie Meyer (Chris), his nephew Griffin Meyer, niece Delanie Meyer; his stepbrother, Brendan O'Neill (Arielle), his stepsister, Molly Smith (Shane), and his grandmother Shirley Flowers Christman. As well as his extended Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Gene Hancuff, Nadine Hancuff, and Daniel H. Christman.
Marcus’ memory will be carried in the hearts of his family and friends. His warm smile and the twinkle in his eye will linger always. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
