Rebecca Suzann Kirkevold

On Sunday, May 8th, 2022, Rebecca Suzann Kirkevold, beloved wife and mother, passed away at the age of 54. Rebecca or “Becky” as she preferred to be addressed as was born on April 1st, 1968 on George Air Force Base in Victorville, CA. Becky was the youngest and last child of Kenneth and Della Hodgson. She is survived by her two brothers Kenneth and John, and her five sisters Pamela, Denise, Melissa, Holly, and Cecilia.

Becky attended Greenacres Junior High School in what is today Spokane Valley, WA. She participated in the Color Guard and Concert Choir. She then attended Gov. John R. Rogers High School in Puyallup, WA and received her High School Diploma in June, 1986.

Becky started her career in Banking and Finance soon after graduating from High School. She started as a Bank Teller with First Interstate Bank in Burbank, CA and then went on to work for Salomon Smith Barney and Wachovia Securities & National Bank as a Wire Operator, Sales Assistant, and Trader. She ended her career in the Financial Industry working as a Trading Operations Specialist for Moss Adams, LLP.

Becky met and fell in love with her husband Karl Kirkevold in the summer of 1993 and married him December 9, 1994 in Ocho Rios, Saint Ann's Bay, Jamaica. They stayed married for over 27 years and up until the time of her passing had always remained together. They have a son together named Kyle Kirkevold.

Becky was a devoted wife and dedicated mother. She would often end her work day preparing meals for her family and seeing to the needs of her son. Like many working mothers today Becky had a hard and demanding schedule, but always found time for caring for the needs of her family. She was much loved and appreciated by all who knew her.

To the love of my life, my soulmate, and beloved wife; I have always loved you here on earth as I do in Heaven. May you find eternal peace and tranquility in the presence of our Heavenly Father. And although I am running late please reserve a place for me by your side and forgive me for the tasks I must fulfill here on earth before I am with you again.
