Born September 13, 1937 in Boulder, Colorado to Roy and Helen Winn. Big brother to Joyce and Cal. Chuck attended Mapleton Elementary, Casey Middle, Boulder High and the University of Colorado.
Baseball was his passion since he was little. He always had a ball in his hand and was never without his glove. He played baseball at CU and excelled as a pitcher. He traveled to Florida to try out for the next level, but his Dad needed him on the job, so he came back to Boulder and started working with Mead and Mount Construction.
Chuck married his high school sweetheart and they celebrated 65 wonderful years. Right after they got married, they moved into the little house on 7th Street, which became even tinier with the arrival of Randy. Work with Mead and Mount on a hospital, called them away to Pueblo, However, they made weekly trips back to Boulder and welcomed the arrival of Sheryl. Chuck and Sharon built their home on Quince Avenue when it was a dirt road in the middle of nowhere outside of the city limits.
Chuck started Quince Construction and was very successful. He built hundreds of buildings , some that you may know: Boulder Justice Center, Lutheran Hospital, Gold Run Condominiums, Loveland Fire Station, the FBI Building in Las Vegas, and numerous High Schools across Colorado.
He enjoyed so many fishing trips with family and friends in Wyoming, Colorado and Alaska. Chuck and Sharon traveled the Western United States in their motorhome and even took it to a few baseball games.
With baseball being his passion, Chuck was instrumental and very active with Boulder Legion and Boulder Little League. In 1974 he coached the Boulder All Star little league team to the Western Regionals in San Bernardino, CA. As soon as his grandsons could hold a ball, Chuck had them in the backyard working on drills. He loved nothing more than giving them his wisdom and watching them succeed.
Survived by wife Sharon, son Randy (Kris), grandsons Cason and Cole Winn, sister Joyce (Mike) Sandham and brother Cal Winn. Nieces Kelli (Gordon) Lycas and Heidi (Guy) Marshall. Cousins Gary (Nanette) Waneka, Glenn Waneka, Robin (Roxanne) Waneka.
Preceded in death by his daughter Sheryl Winn, parents Roy and Helen Winn, and nephew Bryan Sandham .
