Dorothy ‘Dot’ Carroll Oberbeck was born in Evansville, Indiana in 1934 to Loran and Beatrice Martin. In 1952 she married Donald E. Oberbeck and they were eventually blessed with two children David A. Oberbeck and Donna C. Oberbeck (deceased). They have two grandchildren, Jake and Donna and two great-grandchildren.
Dot and Don moved to Boulder, Colorado in 1957. They spent a great deal of time exploring Colorado. She enjoyed their travels, much of it spent on the back of Don’s Harley.
Dot was an artist in many ways. She played accordion in a band and also taught. She was a very talented artist working in oil, watercolor and acrylics. She was also an excellent cook.
She loved her family and friends deeply. She was also happy when spending time with animals and birds. She had a strong Christian Faith and loved studying bible prophesy.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 1-3 p.m. at Crist Mortuary, 3395 Penrose Pl., Boulder, CO. A Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Calvary Bible Church, 3245 Kalmia Ave., Boulder, CO.
