James William Zeutzius was born January 9, 1933 in Green Bay Wisconsin to Leo and Rose (Vandernack) Zeutzius. Jim was raised in Green Bay with his parents. His mother passed away when he was very young and Leo remarried Estelle Zeizi who continued to raise him. After graduating high school Jim joined the Air Force and served for 4 years. During his time in the Air Force he met his beautiful wife Rita. After leaving the service Jim and Rita married on December 29, 1956. Together they had five wonderful children Michael, Patricia, David, Mark and Craig.
Jim worked as a System Analyst for AC Neilson. They lived in Boulder, Colorado and Clinton, Iowa, returning to Colorado in 1998 and calling Erie, Colorado home.
Jim had quite a knack for card playing and joke telling. He always had a new joke to share and always liked a good game of cards. His quick wit brought many a smile to many faces. Jim also enjoyed square dancing with Rita and throughout the years traveled to many dances, making many wonderful friends along the way. Being from Green Bay, Jim had a true love for the Packers. He was a diehard Packer fan through and through. Many a Sunday were spent with family watching and analyzing the game. One of Jim’s greatest joys was his family. He loved having everyone around and loved teaching the kids and grandkids all he knew about card playing.
Jim was surrounded by his beloved family when he passed away on April 24, 2015. He is survived by his wife Rita, sister-in-law Jean Birkel, children Michael (Amabelle), Patricia (Steve), David (Linda), Mark (Michelle) and Craig (Rita), grandchildren Dustin (Michelle), Elizabeth, Amanda, Joshua, Suhana, Zacharias, Alexander and Jonas, and his siblings Judy McQuinn and Carol (Phil) Clayton.
