Sallie, a lifetime resident of Boulder, passed away on February 14, 2015 at Tru Community Care Hospice, after a courageous battle with Pneumonia and other complications. Sallie graduated from Boulder High School in 1953. She enjoyed boating, fishing, cross-word puzzles and most of all, gardening. Sallie married Jerry Elliott on October 29, 1954 and together they celebrated 60 years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gwendolyn and Fred Austin, and her brother John Austin. Sallie is survived by her loving husband, Jerry, and sons William M. Elliott and Robert E. Elliott. She is also survived by her sister, Susie Bullock, sister-in-law, Weslyn Austin, nephews, Jay Austin, Rick & Tom Bullock, and nieces, Stacey Perdew and Laura Talley. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Preston Elliott, Meredith Adkins and Elizabeth Stohlmann. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Boulder Valley, 2323 55 th St., Boulder, CO 80301. A memorial service to celebrate Sallie's life will be planned and announced at a later date. Her smile, her laughter, her sense of humor and her love of life will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
