Susan Elaine Cox

Susie is survived by her mother, Madeline Black of Gulf Breeze, Florida; husband, Gary of Sedalia, Colorado; children, W. Anthony and daughter-in-law Haley, Glynnis, Raymond, Camille, and Lynwood; siblings, Cindy Urner of Lompoc, California, Linda Larson of Pensacola, Florida, Dale Black Jr. of Gulf Breeze, Florida, and Jeanne Henry of Tampa, Florida. She is preceded in death by her father Dale Black of Gulf Breeze, Florida and daughter Roxanne.

Susie was born on the 26th of August 1958 in Loveland, Colorado to Dale and Madeline Black. She attended elementary, middle, and high school in Boulder, Colorado. She married Gary in 1984.

Susie loved animals and children, she was an artist, she was a dancer, she loved to garden and the sunshine. She homeschooled all her children. She was a great listener. She was family to many who did not have family. She loved and served everyone she knew. Jesus will say to her, I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, truly I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers you did it to me.

A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 7pm at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Pastor Bruce Skelton will officiate the service.
