Wallace passed away in Boulder Colorado on May 7, 2021. He was born March 6, 1935 in Superior Wisconsin to parents James and Myrtle Moffett, and attended schools there until entering the USAF in 1952.
His wife Willie, son Gregory, parents, two brothers and three sisters have predeceased him. He is survived by his two children, Deborah (Dale) and James, and two grandchildren Gregory and Tonee.
Wally enlisted in the Air Force March 1952 and trained in Airborne Radar electronics and then later, taught and worked on the systems on the F-86 and F-102 with the 339 AWI Squadron. In 1953, he met Willie, his wife of over 60 years and married in 1956 in Denver Colorado. After leaving the Air Force in 1959, he worked for Martin Company, Littleton Colorado, on the development and test firing of the Titan one and two ICBMs. In 1963, he went to work for Ball Brothers Corp, later Ball Aerospace in Boulder Colorado. At Ball he worked in several areas during his 34-year career in metrology, satellite ground station, antenna systems and electromagnet compatibility. He retired in 1997.
Wally was a member of the Niwot United Methodist Church and enjoyed people very much. He had several hobbies with amateur radio, boating and travel, but most of all his friends. He belonged to the Masonic Berkley Lodge 134 member over 50 year, and was a 33 degree mason, the Denver Consistory, and El Jebel Shrine, He also enjoyed playing the tuba in the Shrine and Niwot community band for many years.
