

Bill was born April 20th, 1941 to parents Mary Schneider Reichenberg Uhlken and William Albert Reichenberg.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mary Uhlken and William Reichenberg, stepfather Ralph A. Uhlken and daughter Allison Faith Reichenberg. He is survived by his son William Scott Reichenberg, daughter-in-law Megan E. Reichenberg and grandchildren Tyler, Zachary, and Rylie Reichenberg of Broomfield, CO, his brothers Dennis D. Uhlken (wife Sharon Uhlken) of CA and Michael Uhlken of NE, former spouses Elizabeth Harsh Hanauer of CA and Marilyn Reichenberg of MI and six nieces, two nephews and many cousins.
Bill was raised in Scottsbluff, NE and graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1959 where he played football, tennis and was a star basketball player. In 1965, he graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, NE with a degree in Business Administration and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He and his wife Betty Ann Harsh moved to Denver where he was employed with Samsonite Corporation, prior to their divorce in 1968. In 1969 he met and married Marilyn Altmaier and were married until their divorce in 2003.
In 1969 he joined the founding team at Valleylab, in Boulder, CO as the financial officer. He was later appointed Vice President of International Sales before serving as President & CEO following the acquisition of Valleylab, Inc. (now Covidian) by the pharmaceutical company Pfizer. He also served as a director of several start-up companies in Colorado.
He traveled the world, read 3 newspapers a day and enjoyed tennis, golf, boating, and skiing. He was an avid car enthusiast and classic car collector, traveling the country to show his classic car collection and truly enjoying his drive down the 50’s memory lane.
He was actively involved in serving the Boulder community as a volunteer where he served on the boards of United Way, Junior Achievement and Boulder Community Hospital. He also served many years on the Longs Peak Council for the Boy Scouts of America and was honored with the Silver Beaver Boy Scouts Award and named Citizen of the Year in Boulder. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Cheboygan, MI and a Paul Harris Fellow.
As a member of Atonement Lutheran Church in Boulder, CO, he served on the Church Council for several years. He later joined Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Gunbarrel and continued his faith in Scottsdale and Broomfield where we resided later in life.
In addition to his home in Colorado, he enjoyed spending time in the summer in his early retirement on Mullett Lake in Michigan. Throughout his retirement he spent winters in Scottsdale, AZ with family and friends.

A graveside service is planned at Mountain View Memorial Park at 3016 Kalmia Avenue, Boulder, CO 80301 at 11:00 am on Saturday, the 28th of March.
