

Florida. Born on July 18, 1937 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Evelyn lived a full and vibrant life that touched the hearts of many.
Evelyn was the beloved daughter of Alma and Edward Nelson and grew up alongside her sisters Mary Klein, Lorene Hamilton, (who Evelyn referred to often as her best friend), and Alda
Markham. She carried with her a deep love for family throughout her life, cherishing every
moment spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, William Haney; her son Charles 11Buddy11
Collins; her grandson Benjamin Fruchey; her niece Donna Pinion. All of Evelyn's sister and
several dear family members who held special places in her heart.
Evelyn is survived by her loving daughters Deborah Fruchey (Daniel) and Sharron Yonker
(Richard), who were a constant source of pride and joy for her. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren Emily Scott, Adam Yonker (Angie), Sarah Yonker, and Russ Scott; as well as her great-grandchildren Emma Yonker, Kellan Yonker, Layla Yonker, Reese Yonker. Her love for
her grandchildren & great-grandchildren was boundless; they were the light of her life.
Evelyn also leaves behind cherished nieces Chris Rodger and Theresa Walsingham (Ken), and beloved nephew Jim Hamilton, and countless others who were touched by her warmth and love.
Evelyn's presence will be profoundly missed by the friends she met while living at Hawthorne Center for Rehabilitation of Sarasota. Evelyn often said they were like an extended family, and she loved them dearly. May her uncanny ability to bring laughter into any room she entered
bring comfort to them.
A devout Christian, Evelyn lived a life guided by faith and compassion. She will be remembered for her unwavering belief in the power of love and kindness. Evelyn's presence brought comfort and solace to all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, hope and resilience that will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on April 20, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11 :30 am, followed by a committal at Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home at Manasota Memorial Park 1221 53rd Ave East, Bradenton Florida. .
