

George Clark Pelter was called home by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on the morning of November 26th, 2021 at the age of 75. He was born in Altoona, PA on October 15, 1946 and was a resident of Bradenton, FL for the past 35 years. He graduated from Milton Hershey School in 1966 and received his BS from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 1981. He was an Army Veteran and retired Pilot for the Division of Forestry. He was a lifelong learner who loved family. He loved to take walks on the beach at sunset, eat ice cream, play with his grandkids, tell stories, and sing the oldies.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Van A Sr. and Susan J Alwine Pelter; and two brothers Van A Jr. and John C. He is survived by his wife, Julia; daughters Melissa (Chris) Mack and Wendy (Nick) Rappeno; grandchildren Owen, Lucy, and Sam Mack, and Jake, Drew, and Zac Rappeno; his sister Mary E. Pelter; brothers William H. (Beth) and his twin Wayne T. (Julianne); and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for George will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Manasota Memorial Park, 1221 53rd Ave East, Bradenton, FL 34203, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
