He is survived by his loving wife Gloria Blunt Johnson; seven daughters and four sons. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son Kevin.
The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Thursday March 26th at Manasota Funeral Home, 1221 53rd Ave E Bradenton, FL 34203. A public viewing will be held from 10-11am on Friday March 27th at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church located at 525 Martin Luther King Ave E Bradenton, FL 34208 with a service to follow with Pastor James Roberts officiating, and Pastor Arthur Graham Jr., will deliver the eulogy. A graveside service will take place at Manasota Memorial after the service.
