Juan L. Gonzalez was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to parents Dolores Molina and Andres Gonzalez on June 23, 1939. He married Maria Roman on November 21, 1969, and they had been married for 53 years. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for 15 years, as a machinist for 30 years, and a truck driver for 30 years. He enjoyed playing dominoes and poker, and enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his spouse, Maria of Riverview, FL, his children, Amy Gonzalez, Sylvia Santiago (Eddie), Hector Sanchez (Nancy), Blanca Torres (Edwin), Hector Gonzalez (Doris), and Maribel Gonzalez (Christopher), his siblings, Roseli Perez (Carlos), Zenon Gonzalez (Margarita), Felix Gonzalez (Lucy), Luz Gonzalez (Ventura), and Maria Plaza (Italo), his 26 grandchildren, his 35 great grandchildren, and lots of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by siblings, Daniel Gonzalez (Esmeralda), Manuel Gonzalez (Mary), and his son, Luis Gonzalez (Grissel).
